What to check for Thai annual leave under Section 30
Separate the general minimum, completed service, the employer's leave year and the actual remaining balance.
One completed year is the general threshold
The Ministry of Labour states that an employee who has worked continuously for one year is entitled to at least six working days of annual leave. An employer may provide more.
Leave before one year may be granted proportionally
An employer may grant annual leave proportionally before one completed year. The tool therefore does not turn completed months into an automatic entitlement; actual work rules and employer arrangements must be checked.
Service length is not the remaining balance
A remaining balance depends on the employer's leave year, scheduled or approved dates, leave already taken and any carry-over arrangement. The tool shows only completed service years and the general minimum reference.
Disputes and termination require the actual facts
Coverage, payment in lieu and termination outcomes depend on the facts and applicable law. Review employment documents and work rules, then seek official or professional advice before making a decision.
