Check a web page from metadata through sitemap publication
Prepare truthful metadata and structured data, then review robots, sitemap URLs and the live HTTP response in order.
Start from content people can see
Titles, descriptions, canonicals and JSON-LD must describe the actual page. Do not add ratings, authorship or claims that the page does not support.
robots.txt is not access control
Use directives to communicate with crawlers, never to protect secrets. A disallowed URL can still be discovered through other links.
List only intended canonical URLs
Inspect protocol, host, path and query before building a sitemap, and update the file when real routes change.
Check the production response precisely
Inspect the live URL after publication and assess redirects separately. One response check does not certify uptime or safety.
