Normalize Unicode and spacing, review spelling, format a heading, check length and create a slug with explicit human review points.
Preserve the source and normalize first
Keep an original copy, then normalize to NFC to reduce equivalent code-point variants. Normalization does not correct spelling or meaning.
Apply mechanical cleanup one layer at a time
Clean horizontal and blank-line spacing before checking words. Review every replacement because the misspelling list is not a complete dictionary and can misread proper terms.
Review punctuation and headings as an editor
The tools follow documented rules and browser Intl behavior; they do not understand intent, tone, personal names or an organization's style guide.
Check channel length before creating a slug
Use the counter for the destination's limit, then create a Unicode slug. Check stability and collisions before adopting it as a production URL.
