Plan debt repayment from a monthly budget to account priority
Connect an affordable monthly amount, debt ordering and payoff simulations without turning a scenario into credit advice.
Start with money that is genuinely available
Total take-home income and essential expenses before setting an extra payment. Do not use an amount that displaces basic costs or leaves no room for month-to-month shocks.
Keep every required minimum in the plan
Avalanche ordering targets the highest rate; snowball ordering targets the smallest balance. Both methods order only the extra amount and do not override minimum payments or creditor terms.
Model the figures stated in the agreement
Card and loan models use the balance, rate and payment assumptions shown. Fees, new transactions, floating rates, statement dates and creditor rounding can change the actual outcome.
Compare offers on consistent cash flows
When upfront charges reduce proceeds, compare the actual amount received and payment stream with effective APR rather than a headline rate alone. Check creditor documents before deciding.
